- All Steel components shot-blasted prior to painting. Mylar tape between any dissimilar metals.

- Siderail, crossmembers, and rear crossmembers all fasten together for reparability.
- Aluminum winch track can be one side, both sides, or deleted.
- Chain tiers and tool boxes are easily installed at the factory and in the field.
- Interchangeable steel and aluminum bulkheads.
- Full-depth bumper blocks on rear corners.
- 1/4” thick aluminum extrusion on rear crossmembers.
- Rear impact guard protects lights and the aluminum rear crossmember.
- Fixed position winches and rope ties may be attached to the side rail.
- Winch track is attached to the under side of the side rail allowing the repositioning of winches anywhere underneath the rail, full length.
- Aluminum crossmembers pass through the steel membranes, and are fastened
securely.
Standard Specifications:
Axles: Great Dane spec 22,500 Rating.
Brakes: 16 ½ “x 7” Air. ABS 2S/1M. Parking brakes.
Bumper: Rear impact guard meets DOT specs.
Crossmembers: 4” I-beams.
Floor: 1 1/8” Apitong.
Mainbeams: 25 ¼: deep Fabricated I-beam, 3/8” x 5” hi-tensile
steel flanges.
King Pin: 36” location, AAR approved.
Lights: DOT 12 volt, Great Dane Ultra Seal wiring harness with metal 7-way
receptacle. Factory sealed lights. Midship marker/turn signal combination.
Mud Flaps: Great Dane low spray.
Oil Seals: Stemco.
Paint: Finest industrial quality.
Rub Rail: 3/8 “extruded aluminum outside rub rail with single aluminum
pipe spool spacers.
Side Rail: 5 ½ “deep extruded aluminum.
Springs; 3-leaf, 44,000 lb. Capacity.
Stake Pockets: Outside type, extruded aluminum 1 7/8” x 3 3/8”
I.D., spaced 24” on centers. Four steel pockets on front and 5 aluminum
across the back.
Support Gear: GD 70 (19” travel). Two speed, narrow mount with replaceable,
cushion foot sand shoes. Roadside crank.
Suspension: Hutch 9700, fixed location.
Front End Construction:
Marker lights, as well as air and electrical connections that are subject
to casual damage on the front of platform trailers are protected with the
lights partially recessed in a steel diagonal front corner. Air and electrical
connections are within the perimeter of the stake pockets. The front end
is designed for rated bulkhead requirements.
Cargo Restraining Devices:
“D” rings, single or double, can be recessed below the floor
level or welded to side rails. Rope hooks can be welded to the side rails
or to the under side of the trailer on or between crossmembers. Recessed
chain fasteners are available.
Stake Pockets:
Stake pockets are constructed of steel or aluminum and spaced on 24”
centers full length. Stake pockets are also located across the front with
five across the rear.
